On the day of a solar eclipse I figured it is a good moment to realize that life goes on with or without us. Each year we are given 365.25 days to make our way around the sun. 365 full days and every fourth year one extra day to live life to the fullest: dream, explore, and love.
While I watch the moon slowly slide in front of the sun it hits me more than on normal days; we are always moving. Whether we are happy, sad, angry, up or down, the earth keeps moving. Time does not stop when we are having a bad day, it just goes and goes and every minute we don’t live up to our potential is a minute wasted in this life. Of course everybody is different and we all want and need different things, but ask yourself: “What do you want to be remembered by? What do you want to leave behind?” I couldn’t live with myself if I had to live in regret, and a day without a smile is a day that I will never get back. Now is the time to do what makes you happy. How many people I overheard making plans for after their retirement, why not do today what you might not be able to do tomorrow? Life isn’t always easy and not all opportunities are always in front of us, but when you truly want something is it really that impossible to make it happen?
“Don’t tell me the sky is the limit, when there are footprints on the moon.”
