There are many approaches in life, we can take everything we do in a glass-half-empty-kind-of-way or we can try to see the positive in things. Of course there are times to be serious, but there are never enough genuine smiles – we can use a few extra.
There is an upside to many moments in life; we just need to find a way to see it. When I was visiting Melbourne, Australia last year I went to a museum with some friends. One of them said: “We have a thing we do when we go to the museum.” Not everybody likes museums – I do, but I was intrigued nonetheless. We picked a few classic paintings that we liked and tried to bend ourselves in the exact same positions right underneath them. It may sound simple (it really isn’t), but before we knew it we were almost rolling around on the museum floor because we couldn’t stop laughing.
Those moments. The moments we remember, because we laughed so much (while trying to be quiet and respectful at the same time, which made it even more fun). Those are the moments I wish I could share with the people who need to find that light. Life really is meant for living. Carpe Diem – everyday.
